Hello World.......Again

Hello my lovelies! It's me!

Honest.

It's really me! I'm back! (Well, kinda anyway.)

I logged on today with trepidation. I figured after almost six months of no contact on here, that all my lovely followers had probably given up on me. But no! You didn't! And so I am rewarding your patience with a new post. Isn't that wonderful?!

Anyway, suffice it to say, the last several months have been crazy. And it's not looking like it'll change anytime soon. So what does that mean? Combine having no internet (*gasp* I know!) with my laptop deciding to go the way of all broken electronics, and what do you get but very little contact with Kara. *sigh* Sadness for everyone! :(

On the plus side, I will do my utmost to borrow other computers and post occassionally. (Hopefully anyway.) But I don't know how much I'll be able to visit others, or respond to comments. Although I'll try really, really, really hard to keep up!!!! Promise!! :)

Meanwhile, I trust you all are doing well. If you've wondered if I've even had time to read in the last little while, the answer is a resounding 'yes!'. If you've a notion to, click over to my goodreads page and see for yourself. I haven't posted extensive reviews, but I have updated my list of finished books. So yay for that! If you don't care to skip over there, then here is a couple standouts for your reading pleasure.

Must Reads:

A Snicker of Magic by Natalie Lloyd

Blackmoore by Julianne Donaldson

Dear Mr. Knightly by Katherine Reay

I also really enjoyed:

The Ruby Red trilogy by Kerstin Gier

Secret Society Girl series by Diana Peterfreund

So.

There you have it.

A small little update from me. Don't give up on me please!

Pretty please?

Yay!

Don't know when I'll next check in, but til then....

DMK is wonderful, isn't it? Cannot wait for Lizzy & Jane! And Blackmoore is definitely worth reading. Let me know if you do, and what you thought. :)

  2. Welcome back, Kara! I haven't given up on you- I know how life can interrupt blogging. Sometimes its a good thing, but I love the blogging community and currently don't want to fully give it up. :-) Sorry about your lap top- hope everything else is fine with you.

I'm certainly planning on reading "Dear Mr. Knightley." Usually, I'm not much into contemporary-setting books, but this one has caught my eye. Just need to find a copy...and finish most of my review books, first. I've gotten myself mired into a whole stack of them- just six more to go.

Sounds like you've been enjoying some fabulous reads! Loved Blackmoore and Dear Mr. Knightley. I also liked the first book in the Ruby Red trilogy - how were Sapphire Blue and Emerald Green?

    1. Hi Amber! It's wonderful to be back around here. And thank you! :)

The Ruby Red trilogy is lots of fun. While not perfect, they nevertheless kept me up very late finishing the entire series in one night. Yes! You read that right. I was so happy to find all three at the library and proceeded to devour them once I was home. If you enjoyed the first one, I'd say you'll definitely enjoy the other two. Let me know what you think if you read them! :)

    1. Hi Birdie! Thank you. And yep! Life would be rather sad without books to read. ;) And thanks for the thoughts. My computer situation has been fixed now (yay!), and I'm figuring out the internet problem. So woohoo for that! :D

  10. No internet AND a dead laptop? You poor dear! You know, if all you want is internet, the Chromebooks are pretty cheap and work fine. IF all you want is internet. My hubby got one for when he travels for work and likes it pretty well.

    And meanwhile... Happy Easter!

    1. Er, I meant if all you want to do is use the internet. You'd still have to be someplace with wifi.

    2. Hello Hamlette, my friend! Thanks for the suggestion. I did look at them, but decided not to go that route. I so appreciate that you thought of it for me though! I hadn't heard of those before, so it was very helpful. :) And I have this awesome, lovely, wonderful, and amazing new library that's open late. So I now have wifi access! Yay!

I hope you had a wonderful Easter yourself. Mine was wonderful. :) I desperately need to catch up with your blogs. Hope to visit over there soon!

    3. You know, the great thing about blogs is that (as long as their owners don't delete them) they're not going anywhere. Glad you're back online!
