{The instructions are easy. Just write a post on your blog about a song. It can be a song that has spoken to your heart during a difficult time... a song that brings back a special memory... a song that makes you want to sing along at the top of your lungs... a song that makes you glad... a song that makes you want to dance... a song that has inspired you... a song that makes you feel like the words were written just for you... a song that makes your soul sing. ~ from Amy's blog}
Well, 'tis officially the Christmas season. And you know what that means! Christmas music! I don't know if you like Christmas music or not, but I sure do! I love it! (Can't you tell by all my exclamation points? :) Anyway, I figured it was time to share more Christmas songs. Especially since the last time I shared one, it was still November. Now it's December. (Which I can't even believe by the way. It's crazy how fast this year has gone! I know we all say that every year, but that doesn't make it any less true!)
I chose "Hope Was Born This Night" by Sidewalk Prophets. Not a traditional Christmas song, but one that I really enjoy. This season should be filled with joy and happiness! Remembering the Christ-child who was born to bring hope to the entire world. It's a beautiful story. I sincerely hope your Christmas season is bright and cheerful and hope-filled!
PS: In case anyone was wondering, the first night of my Christmas Journey to Bethlehem thing went well enough. I did totally forget some lines at the beginning. Luckily the ones with me covered for me pretty good. I remembered the rest of my lines though. They had to cancel last night because of weather, but tonight it's on again. So I'm hoping to do much better this time. Thanks for thinking about me and praying for me if you have been. I most certainly appreciate it! :)
Toodle-loo kangaroos!
Hi Blogosphere friends,
ReplyDeleteIt’s been at least six months since you’ve heard from me. I’m sorry I dropped out of blogging for a while but there were several reasons. Family medical issues etc. have been crazy and have kept me extremely busy, but one of the main reasons I stopped “Then Sings my Soul” was I discovered after attending a conference that it is illegal to post the lyrics to songs on the internet on your blog, tweet, Facebook page etc. You can link to a video but if the video has the lyrics that also is illegal. So, I stopped the meme and gave it some time and distance. I still need to take down my old posts that contain lyrics and you should too if you have posted the actual lyrics to a song. I am sorry it has taken me so long to communicate with you as to a reason why I just stopped blogging. I’m hoping to start back on a regular basis at the beginning of this school year on a different blog. I hope you are all doing well. The songs were fun while they lasted. Take care.
Thanks for letting me know, Amy! Appreciate it. :)
