:: Herself ::

Hello, my lovelies!

So here you are, wanting to know a bit more about the girl behind the blog. There are many words that could be used to describe me, but to put it simply…

I am a booklover!

Always have been and probably always will be, certainly can’t foresee that changing anytime soon. Whether reading them, hugging them, or filling my bookshelves with them, they just make me happy. So expect lots of reviews and bookish posts around these parts. I read an eclectic mix of things, i.e. Christian fiction, young adult, general fiction, classics, a little science fiction has made its way into my TBR, and yes, even a romance or two. Pretty much whatever strikes my fancy! And you can bet that if I LOVE a story, I’ll gladly gush until you’re sick of hearing about it. :)

Basically? I. Just. Love. Books. The end.

Period dramas also get discussed quite a bit. Particularly North and South (Richard Armitage = *swoon*) or Jane Austen! (Persuasion happens to be my favorite.) But if it involves British accents, a swoony hero, gorgeous scenery, and period costumes, count me in. (And seriously. I cannot stress enough that N&S does get gushed about a lot. Just fyi.)

I discovered my love of writing through this little venture. (Which seems a funny way to go about it, yes? Most people love to write, hence they begin a blog. But no, I had to do the opposite.) It began as a way to share my book reviews and expanded into what it is today, a place of happy and awesome (I hope! :) filled with my ramblings and scribbles and loads of fabulous convos with friends. Through all of that, writing has become a way of relaxation and connection for me. Which means that I love it when my readers comment and we can have fun convos! Chatting about books, period dramas, movies, and/or whatever gives us sappy grins on our faces is always a good time, in my opinion. So please feel welcome to comment or if you care to, email me at flowersofquiethappiness(at)gmail(dot)com.
