It's been a long while since I joined in on Wednesday's! But here I am. :)
1. My daughter earned her Master's Degree this past weekend...what's something you've 'mastered' in recent weeks or months?
Hmmm. I'm kind of stuck on this question. And of course it's the first one! So what does that mean for the rest of them?!
2. What song most reminds you of your childhood?
Jesus Loves Me
3. What do you think about single gender groups and/or events? Should every group/event be open to both genders? If not, what sort of exceptions do you think are appropriate?
I like them! So I don't think every event has to be open to both. I'd say it depends on what the event is. I mean, I don't see many men rushing to go to a bridal shower, do you? ;)
4. What's your favorite spice? Your favorite dish containing your favorite spice?
Cinnamon ~ Cinnamon Rolls!! Mmmmm.
5. I saw this question on Marla's facebook page and asked if I could
Chevron patterns are everywhere! Do you like it or think its just a little too much? Do you own anything 'chevron'?
I like it! I don't actually have anything 'chevron' I don't think.
6. What's something you disliked as a child, but can fully appreciate now?
Mashed potatoes!
7. What can irritate you very quickly?
Finding bacon in my food. Blech. *wrinkles nose in distaste* Guess I've got food on my brain. Although I shouldn't be hungry this time of night....
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I'm a very sleepy blogger,
I've no thoughts to add or say.
So I'll close this little Hodgepodge,
And hope you have an awesome day! :D
You're so cute, Kara! ;) I'm a sleepy blogger, too, LOL!
ReplyDeleteCinnamon rolls = yay!
Mashed potatoes = still can't appreciate them...
Bacon = Love it!
Well, guess we've got 1 out of 3 in common, hehe. ;)
Hope you have an awesome day, too!
~Amber
Hee! Thanks Amber!
DeleteHey, having cinnamon rolls in common is definitely a great thing! I mean, if you didn't like them then I'm not sure we could be friends.....kidding! I'm kidding. ;)
Hope you've had a wonderful week.
Something I didn't appreciate in childhood that I appreciate now is reading. As a kid, reading was not even an option, didn't even make it on my radar, never gave it a thought. Now?
ReplyDeleteI read on the bus, at lunch, on breaks and even sometimes on the weekend. Last Saturday I even took a book along to Giant Eagle and read in the store! Plus, I now have a book blog dedicated to posting book reviews almost every day AND I even wrote a book!
How funny, Karen! It's so interesting how our lives go, isn't it? How we end up doing things we never imagined when we were young. Thanks for sharing! :)
DeleteI'm totally with you on the mashed potatoes! When I was little I barely touched them, now I eat them like ice cream. :P :)
ReplyDeleteHannah, I'm so happy I'm not the only one! Yay! :D Mom practically had to force-feed me to get them down my throat. Now? Buttery and warm and with a little gravy and mmmmmmm. ;)
DeleteYAY,KARA! That was fun to read. :)) Perhaps, I should go for it with this edition... I was thinking of posting something else on my blog, today... Reading your answers was really fun! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ganise! And really, it's all on account of you that I remembered I hadn't joined up in a long time. So thank YOU! :)
DeleteI just realized while reading yours that I never went back and answered #3. Cinnamon is a spice I use often.
ReplyDeleteI love cinnamon, Bethany! Anything with cinnamon sugar on it automatically tastes awesome. Well. Maybe not anything, but a lot of things! ;)
DeleteNice! My thanksgiving meal usually consists of 95% mashed potatoes. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I used to be whatevs about bacon and now I love it. They say your taste buds change as you get older, so I guess that's what happened when I hit 30. Why couldn't it have been for something healthy?? :)
Ha! Boy do I ever understand that last sentence, Jamie! Me and a good In-N-Out hamburger? Mmmmmm. I cannot resist them. :)
DeleteAs for bacon? I haven't ever been able to appreciate it, but I know I'm very much in the minority on that. And since it's not the healthiest, I can just use that excuse, right? "It's not healthy! I can't eat it!" ;P
Yumm! Cinnamon rolls!
ReplyDeleteMashed potatoes with creamy gravy or ketchup (no judging, it's just mashed french fries really. :-) )
Such a fun post!
No judging from me, Kate! I promise! ;) I haven't ever thought about trying ketchup, but actually it makes a lot of sense. As you said, we eat ketchup on fries, so what's the difference? I'll have to try it the next time!
DeleteAnd thank you! :)
